BALLERINA

Grace and beauty, that is what the Ballerina represents. This drawing attempts to capture that grace in picture form, yet still feel like it's moving. The warm orange of her clothing matches the warm tones of her skin, also helps to contrast against the cold tones of the background. I exaggerated her proportions, mainly her legs and the specific curve of her stretched torso to add to that feeling of elegance. While I wanted her to look elegant, I also made sure to show her strength, as being able to hold oneself up like that surely takes a lot of practice and leg strength.
